The Choir with No Name is seeking a new Chair of Trustees. Our current one, the truly marvellous Rachel Youngman, has served us fantastically for six years, and is now retiring (once she's handed over the baton to someone new). We’re looking for a committed, driven person who really gets what we do, is mustard keen to get involved, and of course who can lead the board confidently and effectively. The right person will be passionate about ensuring we make the very most of opportunities that benefit our choir members. He or she will also be able to inspire and support our Chief Executive and the other members of the board and ensure that we meet our legal and financial responsibilities.
We’ve put together an information pack that will tell you more – click here to have a look and download it.
If you know someone who you think could be right up our alley, please do share this link with them. It would also be great if you could share it on social media – you never know what skills your friends might have up their sleeves! Thanks everyone. And if you're interested yourself, then give us a shout any time, we are always up for an informal chat.
Among our choir members, we have a fantastic range of people, covering many ages, ethnic backgrounds, sexualities and disabilities. In comparison, our board is a bit, er, lacking in diversity. We would love to address that, and so we are making it abundantly clear that we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds (not excluding white men of a certain age!).
