Ian - Moving on Up Co-ordinator (North London choir)

Hi, I'm Ian. I'm the Moving on Up Co-ordinator (this is a pilot project we're running at one of our choirs). I've been working with the North London choir since June 2014, and I am absolutely loving it!

My job is to help individual choir members move forward with their goals and aspirations in life beyond the choir. This could mean anything whatsoever - from creative development to health and well-being through to social activities, skills or work. The sky is the limit and it's all in the name of helping people access the opportunities they want in a laid-back, friendly, understanding and empathetic way. It is an incredibly fulfilling role and I love being a part of the team!

As well as being the Moving on Up Co-ordinator, I'm a songwriter and play with a band; I run one-to-one music sessions for people with learning difficulties and my previous job was as a support worker for adults with autism. I am passionate about the power of music and community, so Choir With No Name is definitely the place for me!
